Movella Gathers Top Minds in the Sports Industry to Share Innovation and Developments
Online Conference Connects Global Thought Leaders
April 12, 2022 - Movella™, a global innovator of advanced technologies and products that sense, capture, and analyze movement, is proud to share the success of its two-day, virtual Sports Conference.
Over two days, Movella brought together nearly 20 human performance professionals to share new research and methods in which sports technology can provide athletes and their supporting staff with the insights needed to push the limits of performance.
"Sharing knowledge and insights around athletic performance is at the core of Movella Sports technology. We are pleased to do so collaboratively, which was on display during the two-day Sports Conference, where we joined forces with individuals and companies across a variety of sports specializations and disciplines. We hope to see more events like this in future" said CJ Hoogsteen, VP Sales & Marketing at Movella.
Movella Sports Conference hosted speakers from a wide range of organizations, which included Delsys, Firstbeat, JOTA Sport, and the University of Amsterdam.
Day one, entitled ‘Combining Sports Kinetics and Kinematics', focused on the various tools that support performance analysis and research in today’s innovative sporting environments. This included looking at inertial sensors to monitor load in professional football and how motion capture technology is leveraged during injury rehabilitation.
In the Sports Conference's second installment, ‘How to Secure Peak Performance’, attendees enjoyed topics such as the applications of GPS and HRV- tracking devices, as well as how algorithms can be used as a competitive advantage in sport.
